Overview
Between 2012 and 2014, Essex Capital Partners developed the Barton Solar Farm, a 1.89 MW (AC) / 2.59 MW (DC) solar electric generation facility, located off of Route 16 in Barton, Vermont.
The array utilizes 340W Sunpreme photovoltaic (PV) panels supported by an RBI Solar ground-mount racking system. Once operational, the annual generating capacity of the facility is estimated to be roughly 3.0 million kilowatt hours (kWh) per year.
Electricians from Peck Solar, a subsidiary of Peck Electric, completed the electrical construction of the facility.
JA McDonald completed the civil and earth work.
The project is interconnected with the Vermont Electric Co-Operative (VEC) utility distribution network.
The project was developed under the Vermont Standard Offer Program for Qualifying SPEED Resources.
They system was commissioned November 19, 2014.
