Bennington, VT – Maple Leaf Solar, LLC recently commenced construction on a 500 kilowatt group-net-metered solar array located in the Maneely Corporate Park in Bennington, VT.
The project received its Certificate of Public Good from the Vermont Public Service Board on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 2016.
The project site, which was purchased from the Bennington County Industrial Corporation, is a south-facing hillside located off of Shields Drive in the existing Maneely Corporate Park.
$1.2 MM in construction and permanent financing for the project is being provided under the Vermont Economic Development Authority’s (VEDA) Commercial Energy Loan Program. Press release here.
The project will interconnect to the Green Mountain Power utility distribution grid and is expected to begin commercial operations during the month of July, 2016.
