Bennington, VT – Maple Leaf Solar, a 500 kW net metered solar array, began commercial operations today, returning its first kilowatt hours of electricity to the Green Mountain Power utility grid.
The array, which was built on vacant land in the Maneely Corporate Park in Bennington, was constructed over the last three months after receiving its Certificate of Public Good from the Vermont Public Service Board in March 2016.
The install was managed by Essex Capital Partners, with excavation services provided by Hunter Excavating of Londonderry VT, racking system provided by RBI Solar of Cincinnati, OH, and electrical work provided by CDP Electric of Florence, VT.
