Essex Capital Partners was founded in 1995, and since its inception, has owned, developed and operated a portfolio of commercial properties in the greater New England region.
ECP’s first solar project was CRL Solar in White River Junction, VT, which entered commercial operations in 2012. Since that time ECP has successfully developed and capitalized 14 MWdc of solar projects in Massachusetts and Vermont. As a family business and owner-operator, we take a long term view towards equipment and vendor selection, community relationships and sustainability.
Bob Grant is ECP’s Manager. Bob entered the solar industry in 2011 with a successful background in Commercial Real Estate investing and Brownfield Redevelopment in the greater Boston area. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1979.
Charlie Grant manages business development and asset management for ECP. He helped develop the ECP solar portfolio from 2013-2017, starting with the development and construction of the Barton Solar project. He rejoined the business full time in 2021 after pursuing an MBA at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and spending two years on the Business Development team at Enel North America. He received his bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College in 2011.
Barbara Grant is ECP’s Controller. She graduated from Trinity College in 1979 and comes from a background in commercial banking and financial management. She recently served as Treasurer of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston’s Gallery Instructors program.
